Urban Rustic Food Cart
at McCarren Park near the corner of N12th and Driggs
I think Urban Rustic is to Williamsburg what Foragers is to DUMBO, but better (depsite it’s silly name). I always knew this place was there, but I had no idea that they had a hot food cart across the street in the park next to a bunch of lovely, umbrellaed picnic tables.
I couldn’t decided between the grass-fed 1/3lb burger ($6 plus $1 for cheese) or the pulled pork sandwhich ($6). I ended up going with the burger (pictured above with onions, tomatoes, lettuce and white chedder) because I had a white shirt on and they guy working at the cart told me the pulled pork could get sloppy. I should have taken that as a clue that the pulled pork would be phenomenally better, which from the one bite I had off of Zack’s sandwich, I now know to be the case. Both sandwhiches were good and there was no line or crowd, so I’ll definitely be back.
